COLLECTION & DESIGN EXPLANATION

"Blue Glazed Vase with Gilt Lotus Scrolls"
Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, 1736-1795 AD
A gilt lotus vase made during the seventh year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, measuring 12.4 cm in height, 3.5 cm in mouth diameter, and 4.5 cm in base diameter.
It has a straight mouth, a long neck, a round belly, and a ring foot. In the Qing imperial court, this type of vase with a slightly wider and longer neck was known as a paper mallet vase.
The outer wall of the vessel is entirely coated with cobalt blue glaze. The decoration is painted in gold and silver, with a key fret pattern adorning the rim and shoulder. The neck and belly are painted with scrolling lotus flowers, and the base and ring foot feature a band of lotus petals and scrolling grass patterns. The rim and foot are gilded, the body is thin and pure white, and the interior and base are covered in white glaze. The bottom center bears a six-character, three-line seal script inscription in underglaze blue: "Made during the Qianlong reign of the Great Qing Dynasty."
In this collaboration with the National Palace Museum, the "Porcelain Vase with Famille Rose and Gilt Lotus Scrolls on a Blue Ground" from the collection is incorporated into the product.
Using the vase as a muse, and the pen and pen stand as a medium, a classic fine stationery item imbued with timeless elegance is created.
The pen is transformed into an elegant classical vase, while the pen stand becomes a tray to highlight the vase. The combination of these two pieces makes the pen resemble a work of art.
Whether used for writing or displayed when not in use, it adds elegance to life with its perfect posture, and thoughtful details are incorporated into every aspect.
